A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse to be the support of the Nurse Unit Manager in leading, coaching, and mentoring junior staff in providing excellent PACU care at a private hospital in Adelaide.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing a professional portfolio such as WHS, Education and Training, Leadership and Quality improvement;
- Working in partnership with the NUM to provide leadership and support to the team;
- Providing guidance to staff on clinical issues, National Standards and relevant legislation;
- Assisting the Nurse Unit Managers in the rollout of change management in a positive manner and the consolidation of clinical practice;
- Supporting nursing practice and learning experiences for students undertaking clinical placements, orientation for new staff , and preceptorship of Graduates.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse;
- Understanding of risk management principles;
- Excellent customer service and high-level interpersonal/communication skills;
- PACU experience across multiple surgical specialties;
- Critical thinking skills and knowledge of Anesthetic and Recovery equipment use;
- Excellent time management and self-motivated organizational skills;
- A desire to assist in leadership;
- Ability to lead staff in a manner that is encouraging and supportive.

REMUNERATION
Salaries range between $31.07-$53.49 per hour.
