Clinical Operations Manager – Residential Aged Care
Location: Sydney- Redfern | Permanent, Full-Time

Are you a dynamic clinical leader passionate about mentoring and uplifting others? Join The Salvation Army Aged Care in this newly created, impactful role where you’ll drive excellence in clinical care across our Residential Services.
We’re looking for a skilled Clinical Leader (Registered Nurse) with a strong background in aged care leadership to guide our Care Managers and clinical teams, embed best practices, and help us deliver consistently high standards of care—every day, in every home.

As Clinical Operations Manager, you'll be pivotal in ensuring our care remains safe, high-quality, and aligned with industry reforms and resident needs.
You’ll report to and be supported by our experienced General Manager for Residential Aged Care, who brings a deep understanding of operational challenges and is committed to clinical excellence across our centres. Together, you’ll work to uplift clinical capability and embed best practice care across the organisation.
What you’ll do

Oversee clinical systems and processes across our residential aged care centres.

Be the go-to expert for complex clinical issues and high-level advice.

Mentor and support Care Managers, Care Coordinators, and clinical staff to lift capability and confidence.

Partner with Regional Operations Managers to improve clinical performance across the board.

Establish a Community of Practice for RNs and ENs and launch a structured mentoring program for Care Service Employees.

Collaborate with our Care Quality & Compliance, Learning and Capability teams to ensure alignment and consistency in education and clinical improvement.
What you’ll bring
-
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

Significant experience in clinical leadership within aged care or a similar healthcare setting.

Proven ability to lead clinical improvement initiatives and uplift workforce capability.

Demonstrated success in mentoring and coaching nurses and care staff.

Experience navigating and influencing clinical compliance and regulatory frameworks.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and guide others.

A high level of integrity and commitment to person-centred care and continuous improvement.

Willingness to travel to residential sites as required and hold a valid driver’s licence.
