We have offices in NSW & VIC, with a focus on large enterprise & government customers. Job SummaryTriforce is seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in deploying and managing enterprise IT/Cloud infrastructure solutions. This role requires expertise in VMware, Dell, HPE, and NetApp technologies, combined with a strong understanding of both Windows and Linux environments. Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune, as well as identity management via Entra ID (Azure AD), is essential.
Key Responsibilities:Virtualization & ComputeSupport, maintain, and optimise VMware environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machines.Collaborate on resource planning, clustering, and workload balancing.Provide support for Dell and HPE server platforms, ensuring hardware and firmware are up-to-date.Familiarity with VMWare Cloud Director suite is a plus.
Storage & BackupDeploy, configure, and support enterprise storage systems, including NetApp, HPE and Dell solutions.Monitor storage performance, ensure data protection, and handle capacity planning.Manage backup and recovery solutions, ensuring systems align with RPO/RTO objectives.
Operating SystemsAdminister and maintain Windows Server environments, including AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.Support/configure Linux based servers, ensuring stability, performance, and security.
Cloud InfrastructureImplement solutions in Microsoft Azure, including VMs, networking, and resource groups.Manage and Optimise Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.Administer Intune for endpoint management and policy enforcement.Integrate and manage identity and access with Entra ID.
Monitoring & OperationsImplement and maintain IT operations monitoring tools to ensure infrastructure health, availability, and performance.Respond to and resolve alerts, ensuring minimal downtime and service impact.Proactively identify areas for improvement and optimization in infrastructure systems.
Support & ITSMTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.Participate in ITSM processes, including incident, problem, and change management.Handle support tickets in a structured environment, meeting SLAs and ensuring customer satisfaction.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including application, network, and security teams.Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
Skills & Qualifications:Technical ExpertiseProven experience with VMware vSphere and related virtualization technologies.Hands-on experience with Dell and HPE server platforms.Knowledge of NetApp storage systems and SAN/NAS technologies.Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Ubuntu).
Cloud & Identity ManagementWorking knowledge of Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS, including networking and security.Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Intune.Familiarity with Entra ID/Azure AD and identity federation.
Operations & ITILFamiliarity with ITIL principles and best practices.Understanding of monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds).Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise, ManageEngine).
General ITUnderstanding of network fundamentals (e.g., VLANs, firewalls, and routing).Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and task optimisation.Strong familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
