Who We Are

Hosico Engineering Group is an AS9100 advanced manufacturing group located in the SE of Melbourne, currently across two sites in Braeside and Berwick.

We are a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team, with a 'can do' attitude providing manufacturing solutions for leading customers in the defence, aerospace, medical and mining industries.

Our state of the art Berwick site, specialises in precision machining under the Australian Precision Technologies (APT) brand, with a particular focus on defence and aerospace.

Who We Are Looking For

We are currently seeking a skilled CNC machinist to set and operate multi-tasking machines at our Berwick site.

The role will be responsible for monitoring machine tool life, offset dimensions and operating machines at maximum efficiency to meet customer requirements and achieve internal business goals.

Must Haves

• Trade Qualifications – Certificate IV Mechanical Engineering / Fitter and Machinist

• Complete understanding of CNC machining principles

• Minimum 5 years’ experience operating multi axis CNC machines

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Ability to use metrology equipment

• High attention to detail with tight tolerances and complex parts

• Good knowledge of OH&S principles and practices in a production environment

• Ability to operate multiple machines during a shift

Preferred Candidates

• Previous experience working with Okuma Machines

• Good communication skills

• Self-motivated

• Reliable

• Highly organised

• Good housekeeping skills
