My client is a leading player within the Renewable Energy Sector supplying state of the art Energy Storage technology to the utility sector internationally. Due to significant demand they are seeking a Commissioning Engineer who will play a key role in their APAC business working on large scale flagship Battery Energy Storage Systems.
Responsibilities
Onsite Engineer for Commissioning and Acceptance Testing of Balance of Plant equipment including electrical systems such as, Switchgear, relay protection, metering, MV/LV transformers, and cables. Controls/communication networks: Switches, I/O devices, SCADA equipment and Auxiliary systems: Fire detection, HMI and UPSReview failures & provide corrective actions during Commissioning & StartupDevelop and execute commissioning test plans, including resourcing, logistics, equipment, and schedulingProvide local/remote technical support for troubleshooting during commissioning as neededCollaborate with stakeholders to define and execute testing protocols to achieve commercial operationCoordinate and liaise with site stakeholders (internal & external)
Qualifications
Relevant experience as an Electrical Commissioning Technician or Commissioning EngineerAt least 5 years of professional experience in commissioning or performance testing for large-scale PV, other energy storage systems or utility scale electrical power systemsKnowledge and experience testing Transformers, and Balance of Plant equipmentAustralian Electrical Licence holder (nice to have)Comfortable in a high paced environment and able to work in a solution orientated culture
