We are seeking Community Support Workers to fill permanent position. Your primary responsibility will be supporting NDIS participants living with a disability in their homes and accessing their local community. This role facilitates community development initiatives and collective solutions within a community to address issues, needs and problems associated with recreational, health, housing and other welfare matters.

Tasks & responsibilities
About You
- We are looking for energetic Community Support Workers who value teamwork and are passionate about helping people with various disabilities. We have a vast range of clients, so our ideal Support Worker will be motivated to try new things and explore the clients' hobbies!
- Experience working with clients on the Autism Spectrum will be a bonus!
Duties and tasks include:
- Study the care plan and implement the support, education and training program in place
- Observe, monitor and record clients' progress through case notes for every shift.
- Attend PBS meetings when required, participating in discussions whenever an assessment is required to review the client’s community needs and resources for health, welfare, housing, training and other facilities and services.
- Provide support in clients' houses and provide education and care for children and disabled persons in adult service units, group housing and government institutions.
- Support young clients to overcome social, emotional, and financial problems.
- Assist in preparing reports for necessary submissions to government entities or other stakeholders for funding and resources and reports to government bodies and other agencies.
Other duties that might be required from time to time.
- Community Support: Supporting our clients on community outings, e.g., shopping trips, excursions, lunches, appointments, and goal-based activities.
- Transport: Escorting our clients to medical and allied health appointments, hospital visits, and respite care.
- Domestic Support: Cleaning, tidying, and changing bedding to ensure a safe, clean, and sanitized environment for our clients.
- Food Preparation: Preparing, cooking, and serving meals
Qualifications & experience
- Police Clearance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate
- NDIS Screening Check
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Driver License and own insured vehicle
- Have a current or be willing to obtain a First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID004) and CPR (HLTAID001) certificate
- Have a present or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check
- Certificate in Individual Support or Certificate in Community Support
