The Company:

Jaws Buckets & Attachments is located in Archerfield. We are Australia's largest privately owned provider of specialised equipment for the mining industry.

Well established, with over fifty years’ experience in designing and manufacturing earthmoving equipment and attachments that are sold in over 29 countries.

The Role:

You will assist the Financial Controller in providing strong accounting support, including the timely processing and reporting of key financial information.

The Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end month-end processing, ensuring all deals are reconciled, accruals are posted on time, and department P/Ls are distributed

  • Managing the day-to-day administration responsibilities

  • Reconciliation of all controlled accounts to ensure accuracy in the balance sheet

  • Preparation and submission of monthly BAS, Payroll Tax and annual FBT Return.

  • Completion of monthly financial reporting and manufacturers reporting

  • Process weekly payroll related journals 

  • Providing accounting support to the various satellite admin personnel

  • Preparation of year end reports

  • Managing Fixed Asset register ensuring additions and disposals are recorded in a timely manner.

  • Assist the FC with the day-to-day operations of the Finance an Accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Skill & Experience:

To be successful in this position, you will need to have the following competencies and qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field – essential

  •  CA/CPA qualified or part qualified will be highly regarded but not essential

  •  Be a strong team player with a flexible approach to your work

  •  5+ years of experience in a full-function accounting role

  •  Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

  •  Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software

  •  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  •  Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  •  Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  •  Must have Australian Work Rights
