Concreter - South Townsville

Achieve Group are seeking experienced Concreters and Formsetters for an immediate start on a long term project in and around Townsville.

NOTE

 - this is NOT a FIFO position. 

About the role

There are several sites across Townsville which we are filling roles for. Some of these projects are on going for 12-24mths or more. 
Civil experienced concreters and formworkers would be highly desirable, along with anyone skilled in pipe trenching and laying. 

Key Duties

• Understanding of the processes involved in concreting and formwork
• Able to undertake a number of manual handling/labouring duties
• Assisting with ground preparation including structures / formwork and use of star pickets
• Capable of following general safe practices in accordance with the Workplace Health & Safety Act
• Willing to work outdoors for extended periods of time

Skills & Attributes

• Previous experience working in the concreting industry
• Experience in Formwork/Steel fixing (desirable)
• White/Blue Construction card
• Sound oral, written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively and professionally engage with others
• Effective time and workload management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
• An honest and reliable work ethic
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Confidence to work unsupervised or in a team environment
• Be physically fit and able to carry out heavy labouring duties
