As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee and deliver projects from initial tendering through to final completion. Your responsibilities will include developing tender documents, managing project execution, procurement, site supervision, and ensuring compliance with client specifications, budgets, and timelines. This role will also involve liaising with key stakeholders, including internal teams and clients, ensuring smooth project delivery, and meeting all health, safety, and quality standards.

Task & Responsibilities
  • Assist with tender preparation, project scoping, subcontractor compliance, and early-stage planning.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and subcontractor engagement in line with project scope and budgets
  • Prepare and manage detailed CMPs, TBRAs and project schedules.
  • Ensure all ITPs and ITRs are completed, verified, and signed off.
  • Manage site execution with full responsibility for QAQC and compliance across the entire project lifecycle, ensuring efficient project close-out in line with contractual, client, and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive record-keeping including timesheets, safety inspections, meeting minutes, plant and labour tracking, and material usage/forecasting.
  • Liaise with Planning, Resourcing, and Recruitment teams for labour and mobilisation planning.
  • Provide leadership and instruction to site teams and subcontractors, ensuring they are trained and equipped to perform their roles safely.
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance, hazards, and environmental impacts in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all legislative/statutory obligations, company policies, and HSE Management Systems.
  • Attend and contribute to site, safety, and project meetings.
  • Communicate effectively using email, project platforms, verbal instructions, and written reporting.
  • Carry out other project-related duties as instructed.

Qualification & Experience

We are looking for someone with a strong background in construction project management, specifically in large-scale projects. You should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

  • Qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in managing construction projects from tender to completion
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects, preferably in mining and commercial sectors
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and liaise with clients
  • Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, P6, or similar), as well as office suite tools
  • Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and scope effectively
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE policies and commitment to safety
  • Ability to travel to remote sites (FIFO Roster)
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude with a strong work ethic
