As a full time cook you are required to…..
Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian Dishes including curries, tandoori items, biryani and other dishes from the menu.
Ensure food is cooked in accordance with restaurant standards and quality meets the anticipated level of fineness including taste, presentation and portion size.
Make the preparations, keep the workstation ready and stocked before the meal period.
Cook food, monitor the process and season them according to different dishes in adherence with menu procedures and processes.
Prepare dishes in accordance with customer requirements considering any special dietary and cultural requirements.
Ensure food is stored in controlled temperature facilities, comply with food safety and hygiene regulations and maintain all kitchen areas clean and organised.
Ability to work alongside with other kitchen team and ensure smooth service during busy hours.
Assist in designing new menu items, everyday specials and training kitchen staff.
Qualifications and Other Requirements
Relevant Australian Qualifications (At least Certificate III or Certificate IV)
Minimum two years working in Indian Kitchen (Australian Experience preferred)
Basic Knife Skills and Expert in Indian Cuisine, including Mughlai.
Flexible to work Weekdays/Weekend Shifts.
Ability to work under pressure and in a busy customer environment
Passionate for delivering exceptional culinary experience
Compliance with Health & Safety Standards
