We are currently seeking a full-time Cook for our business located in Sydney.

Tasks & responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Inspecting ingredients, especially traditional Indonesian staples like spices, herbs, and fresh produce, to ensure they meet quality and freshness standards
- Regulating the temperature of cooking equipment such as woks and grills
- Preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Indonesian dishes, including satay, rendang, nasi goreng and curry
- Seasoning food with signature Indonesian flavors such as sambal, lemongrass, galangal, and turmeric during the cooking process
- Portioning and plating dishes with attention to presentation
- Properly storing ingredients in temperature-controlled conditions to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage
- Preparing meals to accommodate dietary preferences or restrictions, including vegetarian or halal options, in line with Indonesian culinary practices
- May assist in planning daily or weekly menus that reflect regional Indonesian specialties and estimating ingredient needs accordingly
- May also be involved in training junior kitchen staff and apprentices
Qualifications & experience
AQF Certificate III, or AQF Certificate IV and at least 1 year of work experience or 3 years to substitute formal qualification
