Tasks & responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
- Assist in planning menus, estimating food requirements, and monitoring stock levels.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
Qualifications & experience
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
- Candidate must have relevant qualifications and a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and handling procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
- Relevant culinary qualification or trade certificate (highly regarded).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications:
- AQF Certificate III at least two years on the job training
- AQF Certificate IV
