Creative Services Manager

People, Processes & Purpose-Driven Work

Overview:

Cadence is the creative agency for good. And right now, we need a savvy, systems-minded operator to help us keep our studio humming.

You’ll be our Operations Manager – the person who makes sure projects run smoothly, resources are in the right place at the right time, and our team has what they need to do their best work.

You’ll be across everything from project timelines and internal workflows to resourcing and finance support. You’ll keep our people moving in sync, our tools running properly, and our clients feeling confident that we’ve got it covered.

We’re looking for someone who’s calm under pressure, genuinely enjoys creating order out of chaos, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves when a curveball comes through. We work with purpose-led organisations, including a lot of incredible not-for-profits and faith-based charities. So you’ll need to be values-aligned, impact-minded, and motivated by meaningful work.

At Cadence, we’re big on collaboration. You’ll work closely with our Creative Director, Account Manager, and Production team to build thoughtful systems that serve both our clients and our people well. This isn’t a traditional corporate operations role — it’s part admin, part people wrangler, part forward planner, part marketing strategist.

Sound like a bit of you? We’d love to hear from you. Send us a short cover letter introducing yourself and what excites you about working at Cadence. Please include your CV too.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Studio operations: Ensure our studio runs like clockwork. From managing calendars and tools to improving our daily workflows and internal systems.
  • Project operations: Support our team to make sure briefs are clear, resources are allocated, and timelines are on track. Step in to run smaller projects when needed.
  • Resourcing: Track capacity across the team, help plan ahead for projects, and support with scheduling freelancers when required.
  • Finance & admin support: Assist with invoicing, reconciliations, supplier payments, and general financial tracking. Keep things tidy and up to date across our systems.
  • Tools & systems: Manage the tools we use across the business (like WorkflowMax, Xero, Miro and Google Drive). Suggest improvements and implement processes that make our lives easier.
  • Team culture & wellbeing: Help foster a healthy, productive work environment. Organise team meetings, support with onboarding, and contribute to the way we work and connect together.

Skills, experience & attributes:

  • 3+ years experience in a creative, marketing, or agency operations role
  • Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
  • Confident with team management tools (we use WorkflowMax, but experience in similar platforms is great)
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working with a range of stakeholders
  • A proactive communicator, both written and verbal
  • Financially literate – you know your way around a spreadsheet
  • Calm, dependable, and great under pressure
  • A heart for purpose-driven work and a genuine interest in what we do
