Customer Service Manager

With 50+ locations and a team over 2,300 nationwide, Bidfood is recognised as one of the country’s leading distributors to the industry. A fulltime opportunity exists for an adaptable team player to join our Customer Service team at our foodservice branch located in Botany.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be required to manage and provide quality leadership, guidance and support to our small customer service team.  This role is essential in delivering a consistently high-quality customer experience through proactive problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a high level of initiative, strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional reliability, and the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.  

Duties:

• Enable the Customer Service team to meet customer expectations on an ongoing basis and achieve personal, Customer Service and business goals

• Ensure excellent service is provided to customers and stakeholders

• Process orders 

• Generate sales and promote products and services on offer 

• Work co-operatively across a busy sales team environment 

• General clerical duties and liaise with other departments 

Skills and Experience:

• Confident phone manner and excellent communication skills

• Superior customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multi task

• Able to work as part of a team and autonomously

• Computer literacy, including the ability to learn internal systems

• An understanding of the foodservice industry or an allied industry would be an advantage

• Café management experience would be highly advantageous
