DELIVERY DRIVER (VAN DRIVER)

PURPOSE
Golden Heart Care Pty Ltd T/A Delta Packaging is seeking a reliable and punctual Delivery Driver (Van Driver) to ensure the timely and safe transportation of healthcare supplies. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare operations by delivering essential products to clients and facilities while upholding our commitment to quality care and exceptional service.
 

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Delivery Driver (Van Driver) is responsible for the timely and safe delivery of healthcare supplies, ensuring efficient logistics and customer satisfaction. This role involves managing delivery schedules, maintaining accurate records of shipments, and supporting the supply chain team in achieving smooth and reliable operations.
 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

●    Arranging and performing unloading operations and obtaining certification of deliveries
●    Verifying loading documents
●    Determining the destinations of goods and the most appropriate delivery routes
●    Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading
●    Assisting with loading and unloading to ensure goods are arranged for ease of delivery and safely secured to avoid damage
●    Reporting vehicle maintenance needs
●    May receive payments for deliveries and arrange accounts
●    Ensuring adherence to all company safety and health protocols during transportation and delivery
●    Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including time logs, mileage, and client acknowledgments
●    Assisting clients with mobility support or other care-related needs during delivery or transport
●    Providing courteous and professional customer service during deliveries, ensuring client satisfaction
●    Uphold company values by ensuring a respectful and compassionate approach when interacting with clients.
●    Comply with all company policies, health and safety regulations and infection control procedures, especially when delivering sensitive or sterile medical items.
●    Participate in ongoing training to maintain high standards of service delivery.
●    Handle all client-related documents and information with strict confidentiality.  

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
●    AQF Certificate II or III (ANZSCO Skill Level 4) is required.
●    1 year of experience driving a van.
●    Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
●    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
●    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
 

SALARY
$75,000 to $80,000 per year
 

WORKING HOURS
●    Full-time position, 38 hours per week.
