As Forest Lake State School’s temporary full-time Deputy Principal, you'll play a pivotal role in elevating student success and fostering exceptional teaching practices. This is an exciting opportunity is offered for a period of 6 months, unless otherwise determined, and will allow you to cultivate strong connections across our school community, working closely with the Principal to shape a positive and thriving educational environment for everyone involved.

About Forest Lake State School

We opened in January 1994 and our school has grown to become a large primary school catering for over 900 students. In February 2016, we transitioned to Independent Public School status.

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
