Koala Living is looking for a go-getting, design-savvy Design Consultant to join our Auburn and Casula galleries on a full time basis!

Koala Living is an established Australian based furniture retailer with a vision. We source globally for unique and exclusive pieces that provide our clientele with the very best in design and quality. We have helped hundreds of thousands of Australians find the right furniture for their loved home since 2007. We employ over 140 talented individuals within the company in NSW, VIC, SA, ACT, QLD and are currently in the process of opening up two galleries in WA!  We strongly believe the success of the business has been because of the people we have. What do you do as a Design Consultant at Koala Living?

Using your passion for interiors, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our customers' dreams to life. Whether it's helping them select the right furniture piece, assisting with selecting materials you will collaborate closely to create their ideal space.

• Build genuine connections with customers to understand their style and recommend curated solutions

• Provide expert advice on furniture, textures, and design pairings to help customers transform their spaces

• Engage with clients in-store, ensuring every interaction feels personal and professional

• Confidently provide quotes to our customers to convert opportunities into successful sales

• Work closely with your team to meet and exceed team KPI's

• Use our in-house systems to accurately process sales and manage customer details

Essential Skills & Experience:

• A background in retail, hospitality, interior styling, or customer-facing roles

• A natural flair for design, detail, and trends in interiors

• Available on weekends

• Over 2 years in retail sales experience, within an interior design, furniture or related sales focused role is preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you’re someone who listens, connects, and responds with warmth and confidence

• Drive and motivation to achieve goals in a supportive team environment

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a polished and professional presentation
