The Role:
Director | Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) | Eastern Suburbs, Clovelly Area

Lead a team of dedicated educators as a Director of the non-profit community-based provider in a positive community!
About the Role: - Responsible for the establishment and implementation of an effective, efficient and compliant operation.
- A permanent full-time position, 38 hours per week, working block shifts and flexibility to suit for the right candidate.
- Above Award, up to $100K + Super (potential $111K Package) + Super (pending experience / qualifications).
- Nominated Supervisor position.
- Handover provided with the outgoing Director, no surprises – be guided to settle into the role & service.
- Lead, mentor and support the team. A real people person - happy to connect with the community, family and team in place.
- Ensure all areas of the NQF are met and / or exceeded.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of the service operations, all whilst ensuring high quality education and care is provided.
- Monitor and maintain the safety and wellbeing of all children, adhering to best practices in child protection and risk management.
- Manage administrative tasks, including budgeting, staff rostering, regulatory requirements, QIP / SAT, maintaining accurate records, policy development / updates, and so on.
- There is the opportunity to help build and guide the organisational structure to suit the needs of the service.
About the Service: - Caters to around 100 – 130 children per session.
- Operates before, after and vacation care.
- Own dedicated space within school grounds with own kitchen.
- CCMS program used is QikKids.
- Approved Provider is a volunteer Parent Committee whose main priority is quality for the children, and they recognise and value the educators at the service. This is a independent, NFP, stand alone service.
- Work with a provider that has done the role before, knows what it is like – they are empathetic and understanding to the needs of the service and supportive.
About You: - A passionate individual with experience in the ECE/OSHC sector ideally, who ideally holds a Diploma or above in the Education space (or equivalent experience / knowledge / other relevant qualifications), however not essential.
- Ideally have CHCPRT001/025 - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk’ training (or willingness to obtain- 1 day training).
- HLTAID012 - Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting’ Certificate (or willingness to obtain- 1 day training).
- Passion for working with children and creating a nurturing, inclusive environment.
- Collaborative leadership style that empowers and values team members.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills for managing budgets, schedules, and compliance.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and openness to new ideas.
- Warm, approachable personality with the ability to connect with all ages and backgrounds.
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and related regulations.
- Knowledge of essential OSHC service requirements, including WHS, Child Protection, and the Children’s Services Award is desired.
- Experience with QikKids (not essential).
- Leadership experience in education and care, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with families, educators, and the community. Also happy to hear from aspiring leaders.
- A growth / open mindset, to maintain continuous improvement for the service.
Child Safeguarding: Looking for an individual that will understand, adhere to, and promote The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (the
Child Safe Standards). In your position, you will help to take action to promote child wellbeing and prevent harm to children and young people.
Child safeguarding methods for this position, include, but are not limited to:
- A NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.
- Thorough screening.
- Reference checks.
- A national criminal history check.
