We currently have a few fantastic opportunities in our Learning & Lifestyle division for full-time Disability Support Coaches. The roles are located in Dandenong & Mulgrave.
Work pattern: Monday - Friday 8/8:30am – 3:30pm/4pm. Start & finish times are negotiable.
You will be joining great teams, passionate about supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals, participate in activities and programs of their choice, both at Wallara and within the community.

What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated knowledge or experience working within the disability sector and supporting clients with varying support needs and goals
A passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve the best they can – bring your special talents to their experience!
Must be able to support clients in our swimming program
Excellent communication skills; ability to prevent and resolve issues and to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
Ability to advocate and promote community inclusion and person centred support that exceeds standards and is delivered within the available resources – be creative!
Excellent administration, written communication skills and computer literacy in order to complete appropriate documentation - make sure the t’s are crossed and i’s dotted!
Resourceful and innovative approach to creating opportunities for those we support – make social change happen
Experience in delivering on individualised plans
Excellent time management skills and the ability to think laterally
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Commitment to exceptional service delivery and a demonstrated professional approach to work
Commitment to the principles of WHS, EEO, Cultural Diversity and all relevant legislation
Certificate IV in Disability is highly desirable.
Must haves
Right to work in Australia
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Full Victorian driver licence
Certificate in First Aid Level 2 + CPR
Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination, including the booster (or medical exemption).
