Specific Care Pty Ltd are seeking several compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Officers to join our team full-time. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with individuals with disabilities, supporting them to achieve greater independence and improved quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients in developing their skills and abilities to participate in community life.
- Providing support in daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and mobility.
- Supporting clients to access social, recreational, and vocational activities.
- Promoting and encouraging community participation, inclusion, and independence.
- Implementing individualised care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals and families.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns regarding the wellbeing of clients.
- Ensuring client safety and adherence to individual support requirements.
- Supporting clients with emotional regulation, daily routines, and goal setting.
Essential Criteria:
- Diploma in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or a related field.
- At least one year experience in related field.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
