Job Title: Support Worker – Wednesdays & Thursdays (9:00am – 2:30pm)
Location: Sefton
We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our team to support a young NDIS participant with intellectual delay, autism, and epilepsy.
Shift Details:
Wednesdays and Thursdays: 9:00am – 2:30pm
Additional shifts may become available
About the Role:
You will be providing 1:1 support focused on:
- Personal care (including grooming, bathing, and nappy changing)
- Seizure management (training can be provided)
- Self-care routines
- Community access and social outings
- Creating a positive, respectful, and empowering environment
Requirements:
- A current driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Some experience in disability or support work
- Basic understanding of intellectual disability, autism, and seizures
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach
- Physical capacity to assist with personal care and mobility
- Must be comfortable with hands-on support (e.g. bathing, nappy changing)
Preferred:
- Experience with epilepsy or seizure management
- Young male support workers are encouraged to apply, in line with client preferences
- Availability for additional shifts is a bonus
