Disability Support Worker

Love making a difference? We’re looking for a Disability Support Worker to provide care and support to individuals with disabilities!

About the Role

This is a casual Disability Support Worker position located in Maryborough and surrounding areas. Due to expansion and growth, we are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team. With our customers requiring 24/7 support, a variety of shifts are available, including sleepovers.

This role involves providing in-home support and assisting with community access during your shifts. You will be assisting customers with a variety of disabilities, prioritising tasks efficiently, and cultivating a supportive atmosphere that encourages independence and development. If you're passionate about making a difference in people's lives, we want you on our team!

Other responsibilities may include:

• Provide assistance with personal care.
• Assisting with household duties.
• Offering companionship and emotional support.
• Supporting community access through outings, appointments, and activities.
• Maintaining accurate service records, including progress and incident reports.
• Implementing Positive Behaviour Support to encourage positive and manage behaviours.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in disability support or a related field.
• Familiarity with Positive Behaviour Support Plans (advantage)

Requirements
The successful applicant will have or be willing to obtain

• Valid drivers licence (P2 or open)
• CPR and First Aid certificate
• NDIS worker screening clearance (yellow card)
• Working with Children Check (blue card)
