We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Disability Support Worker to join our individualised support team. This rewarding role involves supporting a young female participant in her private residence, with a strong focus on promoting independence, inclusion, and the achievement of personal goals under the NDIS.
You’ll work closely with the House Coordinator/Team Leader and a supportive team to provide person-centred care that truly enhances quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality personal care and mobility assistance with dignity and respect
- Support daily living tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Facilitate meaningful community participation and engagement in activities
- Follow and contribute to the participant’s individual care plan
- Promote the participant’s independence, choice, and rights
- Maintain a safe environment with sound risk management practices
- Complete accurate, timely documentation in line with NDIS requirements
- Work collaboratively with team members and allied health professionals
About You:

Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in disability support or Supported Independent Living (SIL)
- Strong understanding of person-centred and active support principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and accountability

NDIS Worker Screening Check (mandatory)

First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Epilepsy and Medication Administration training (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a fully insured, reliable vehicle
Desirable:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs
- Understanding of NDIS plans and participant-led supports
