We are currently seeking several enthusiastic, motivated and responsible Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis.
Reporting to the Management (Operation Team), you will be required to appropriately support participants with opportunities to reach their individual goals through meaningful activities in our Centres.
This role would be suited to those with a genuine desire to promote the independence and inclusion in society of people with disability or developmental delay as well as a desire to support individuals to have a voice, choice, and exercise control over their own lives to achieve their individual goals.
Essential Criteria:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, Aged Care (or equivalent)
- A demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our participants
- Ability to develop positive relationships with our participants and to support their individual care plans as appropriate.
- Experience in supporting clients with various disabilities (psychosocial disability, Intellectual disability, autism) and challenging behaviours.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster (you will be required to work on a range of shifts, including morning, afternoon and night shift (sleepover).
- Current Australian. Unrestricted Driver's Licence
- Valid Working With Children Check
- Valid NDIS Worker Check
- Valid First Aid Certificate & CPR
- National Police Check
- The right to work in Australia (Valid Visa / VEVO)
Desirable Criteria :
- 2+ years experience in working with people with disabilities and managing their challenging behaviors.
