About The Role
Seeking experienced, dedicated, and empathetic support workers for our brand-new Accommodations in Frankston, Victoria. Become part of our team at this five-star facility, where we provide tailored one-to-one support to clients dealing with AOD, mental health, complex behavior, and forensic issues. What are we looking for?
Minimum Certificate IV in AOD/Mental Health or equivalent qualification1+ years' prior experience: Providing one-to-one support in AOD, mental health, community services, or forensic sectors, with a focus on complex clients.Experience with diverse challenges: Supporting individuals dealing with substance use, mental illness, intellectual disability, and homelessness.Non-government sector experience: Familiarity with AOD and/or MH environments.Forensic assessment skills: Proven ability in conducting thorough alcohol and drug assessments.Strong communication skills: Proficient in report and case note writing.Resilience and adaptability: Thriving in challenging and high-pressure environments.Legal knowledge: Understanding of relevant legislation like the Mental Health Act and Privacy Act.Recovery-focused approach: Solid grasp of harm minimization strategies for substance abuse treatment.
