The District Nurses (TDN) has been delivering in home community health care to Tasmanians for over 125 years maintaining a primary healthcare focus in all our services.  The District Nurses is a not for profit, charitable organisation that is not affiliated with any residential age care service or religious organisation.

TDN is seeking Part Time Domestic Assistants with experience to support clients to live independently in their own homes in the community within Hobart and surrounding suburbs. 

Domestic Assistant Responsibilities:

·         Perform general household tasks such as cleaning, dusting, vacuuming and mopping

·         Support clients with washing, drying, ironing and folding clothes and linen

·         Help with meal preparation and light kitchen duties

·         Unaccompanied grocery shopping and other errands as needed

·         Ensure the home environment is safe and report any concerns

·         Provide friendly companionship and engage in friendly conversation to identify the clients wants, needs and requirements.

You will need:

·         A valid unrestricted driver license as well as a registered roadworthy vehicle with car insurance to drive within the community from house to house

·         National Police Check and Working with vulnerable people check

·         Current first aid certificate
