About About the opportunity The Draftsperson is part of the Brighton Homes Drafting team and reports to the Drafting Manager. The key focus of this role is preparing accurate drawings within specified timeframes in line with the customer’s requests, Council regulations, Building Codes and company standards. More specifically, you will: Accurate preparation of draft sales plans and working drawings that incorporates house siting’s, floor plans, elevations, internal drawings, plumbing and slab layouts and facade detailsInteracting with multiple internal stakeholders including building design sales consultants, estimators, colour selection consultants and compliance teamsProduction of working construction drawings including reviews and corrections for the developer and council approvalProblem solving construction and drafting related mattersProblem solving construction and drafting related mattersActioning any request for further information (RFI’s) if required.Providing suggestions for improvements to processes About You You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will: Experience working in a volume residential home construction environmentUnderstanding of the related construction practicesKnowledge of all current codes and regulations including The Queensland Development Code (QDC) Including Small Lot Code, Regional Council Planning Schemes, Developer Guidelines and Developer Plan of Developments (POD).Proficiency in a 3D drawing program (Ideally ArchiCAD)A keen eye for detail and attention to accuracy with demonstrated interpersonal skillsA commitment to working as one team Interested?
