Shaumet Music Academy is a newly established music school in Chatswood, dedicated to providing exceptional music education to the local community. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a professional and passionate Drum Teacher to join our team. Candidates with experience teaching the AMEB syllabus will be given priority. We value teachers who can provide both one-to-one and group lessons.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Teach students of all ages and skill levels in both one-to-one and group settings.

• Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs and goals.

• Motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential.

• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents.

• Encourage students to participate in performances and group activities to build confidence and teamwork skills.

• Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work independently.

• Create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Teach drum techniques, rhythm skills, and performance repertoire.

• Introduce students to various drumming styles (e.g., rock, jazz, classical, etc.).

• Incorporate the AMEB syllabus into lessons (preferred).

• Prepare students for exams, performances, and other music-related activities.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Proven experience teaching the AMEB syllabus (preferred).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated to music education.

Skills and Attributes:

• Ability to engage and inspire students positively.

• A genuine love for music and a commitment to nurturing students’ enjoyment of music.

• Comprehensive knowledge of drumming techniques and styles, with the ability to impart this knowledge effectively.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (preferred).

Licence/Certification:

• Working with Children Check (required).
