Duty Operations Managers (Hotel)

As a Duty Manager (Hotel Venue Operations), you will be responsible for -

• Ensuring that day-to-day activities run efficiently, from staffing to customer service, including directing/overseeing front of house, security, accommodation, F&B, functions, conference/banquet activities, gaming, etc.
• Engaging with customers regarding concerns, complaints and other queries in a professional manner.
• Organising and allocating shifts appropriately for employees.
• Regularly reviewing product quality and standards.
• Ensuring that company policies, procedures and values are met by all employees.
• Reporting and Documentation maintaining accurate records of operations, incidents, and performance metrics.
• Appraising employee performance and providing constructive feedback where necessary to improve workplace productivity.
• Ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
• Promoting the hotel/restaurant name and brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.
• Maintaining operational costs and expenses & liaising with the owners, head-chef and other stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will need -

• Industry-specific certifications such as Leadership and Management Training
• A minimum of three years of prior experience in customer service, operations, team management, hospitality or duty management within a similar field.
• Have a strong understanding of food & beverage, functions, hotel and venue operations including directing/overseeing front of house, security, accommodation, conference/banquet activities, gaming, etc.
• Having a cert IV in hospitality or relevant qualifications in, management skills (qualifications in hospitality management- marketing, or event management (will he highly regarded)
• Have a strong focus on effective and efficient customer service.
• Be punctual, a strong leader, and an organised individual.
• Be able and willing to work effectively as a team to achieve goals.
• Have access to reliable transport.
