The opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia is looking to resource a E-7A Development, Disposals Coordinator to support the E-7A Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) aircraft, a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system.

The E-7A Development Disposals Coordinator is a member of the Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) Product Support Maintenance and Training Capability. In this role you will work within the E-7A Development Product Support team to follow the approved Disposal Plan and coordinate BDA's analysis of, and proposed recommendations for, the disposal of E-7A Items delivered under the Contract.

Responsibilities

The role of the E-7A Development, Disposals Coordinator is crucial in ensuring that disposal activities are conducted in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. Here's a summary of the key responsibilities:

  1. Compliance: Ensure that all disposal actions meet contracted, legislative, and government policy requirements.
  2. Management of Disposal Items: Oversee the management and maintenance of the disposal list, including obtaining necessary approvals and reporting on disposal activities.
  3. Maximizing Outcomes: Aim to maximise the net outcome for Defence through effective disposal strategies.
  4. Cost Efficiency: Minimise ongoing storage charges by facilitating timely disposal actions.
  5. Transparency: Ensure that all disposal actions can withstand scrutiny from government, public, and international stakeholders.
  6. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including Defence personnel, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  7. Collaboration with Engineers: Work closely with AEW&C engineers and Execution Leads to ensure that tasks are completed accurately and on time, contributing to successful project deliveries.

This role is essential for maintaining compliance and efficiency in the disposal process while ensuring that all actions are transparent and justifiable.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications

To be successful you will have:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in supply support, maintenance or operational support environments, exposure to Australian Defence Force Logistics disposal activities highly desirable
  • MILIS
  • Ex defence logisticians and technical trades with disposal experience highly encouraged to apply, E-7A platform experience also highly regarded
  • Eligibility for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance
  • Current Australian Citizenship
