Early Childhood Portfolio Director - South Coast

Are you an experienced early childhood leader ready to take the next step in your career? Little Zak’s Academy is looking for a passionate and dedicated Portfolio Director to oversee the operations of our services, ensuring excellence in education, compliance, and leadership.

As a Portfolio Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful operation of multiple early childhood services. Your leadership will drive compliance, quality education, and a positive workplace culture. You will support Area Managers and Centre Directors while mentoring educators to deliver best-practice learning experiences.

Your portfolio of services will be across our Little Zak’s Academy centres on the South Coast – Corrimal, Wongawilli, Shellharbour, Kiama, and Bomaderry.

About the role:

• Provide leadership and operational support across multiple early childhood services.
• Ensure compliance with National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and all regulatory requirements.
• Support and mentor educators and leadership teams to achieve high-quality learning outcomes.
• Oversee service performance, including financial and administrative aspects.
• Lead a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in early childhood education.
• Act as Nominated Supervisor when required.

About you:

• A Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACEQA approved).
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Nominated Supervisor or 5 years in a leadership role within an early childhood setting.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood regulations, WHS legislation, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability in team leadership, curriculum development, and service operations.
• Experience managing budgets and ensuring financial viability.
• Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma training.
• A valid Working with Children Check and Child Protection Training.
