Position: Educational Leader/ Pre School Room Leader
Location: Hunters Hill
The Centre
Based in the Hunters Hill region, I am working with a small, boutique long day care centre. The role would be a hybrid of room leader in the 3-5 room and also the educational leader. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to focus on the next step up from room leader.
The centre is an exceeding quality service, with emphasis on providing high-quality learning to their children, with also building strong connections with families, the local community, and their respected team.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development:
- Design and implement a school readiness curriculum that addresses cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Incorporate play-based learning and hands-on activities to engage children in meaningful learning experiences.
Staff Training and Support: - Provide ongoing professional development for educators on school readiness strategies and best practices.
- Mentor and support staff in implementing the school readiness curriculum effectively.
Family Engagement: - Develop and maintain strong partnerships with families to support children's learning and development.
- Organize workshops and informational sessions for parents on how to prepare their children for school.
Assessment and Evaluation: - Implement assessment tools to monitor children's progress and identify areas needing additional support.
- Use data to inform instructional practices and make necessary adjustments to the curriculum.
Community Collaboration: - Collaborate with local schools and community organizations to create a seamless transition for children entering school.
- Advocate for resources and support services that benefit children's school readiness.

- A Diploma or Bachelors in Early Childhood Education
- A deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills.
