Electrical Designer – ASP Level 3 About The RolePower Solutions has been providing Electrical Engineering consulting and design services for over 30 years with our value proposition being to deliver quality designs in a guaranteed time.An emphasis on developing good relationships with customers, construction contractors and distribution groups has led to strong growth and positioned us as market leaders in the ASP3 field.Due to this growth we are now seeking a Electrical Design Engineer to join our team on a full time basis.You will report to the Design Team Leader and work primarily on projects in the Sydney and Central Coast region What you’ll be doing:Project Manage exciting projectsProvide electrical engineering design solutions for our clientsDeliver quality designs in a guaranteed timeWork as part of a team to produce designsCommunicate with clients and authoritiesComplete site inspections and measurements for your projects Exciting projects we expect you to lead or be involved in:Upgrade works for Major infrastructure around NSW (Councils, Airports, Hospitals etc)Supply for Data CentresTransmission Asset relocation DesignsSubstations for High profile multi story residential apartments Delivery of 1000+ lots of residential and industrial developments About YouASP 3 Registration with NSW Office of Energy and Climate ChangeASP 3 Accreditation with NSW Electricity Distributors [Endeavour Energy, Ausgrid and Essential Energy] (or the ability to readily gain accreditation)Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)Experience in Endeavour and Ausgrid ASP Level 3 Design Sound Knowledge of NSW Electricity Distributors Network Standards & NSW Contestability Framework (Endeavour Energy, Ausgrid & Essential Energy)Demonstrated experience in project managementExperience in overhead and underground distribution & transmission designsRegistered or be eligible for registration on the National Engineers Register (NER) within the Electrical CategoryMinimum 2 years experience in the NSW Power Distribution Industry Other skills that would be seen as advantageous to your applicationDemonstrated experience with Private HV & LV Designs to AS/NZS 2067 & AS/NZS 3000Good Knowledge of the NSW Service and Installation rulesGood Knowledge of Building Services Electrical EngineeringExperience across a range of electrical design projectsGood knowledge of earthing system design Personal Attributes we are looking forStrong attention to detail with high level of time management and organisational skillsExcellent communication skills & highly relationalConfident and Knowledgeable Committed to ongoing professional development; attends professional conferences, focuses on best practices, introduces newly gained knowledge and skills to the CompanyHas a keen eye for detailIs an energetic self-starterNatural problem solverWorks well both individually and in a teamHas a ‘can-do’ attitude Ability to identify and assess safety in design risksAbility to make decisions efficiently and effectively What We Offer You Flexible working hoursCompetitive salary packageTwo office locations, Parramatta and CharlestownAbility to choose between either of our office locations as your base.Hybrid WTF Flexibility Rostered days off once a month or a nine day fortnight Ongoing training opportunities Variety of projects from 415V to 132kVA market leading supportive, inclusive and enjoyable company culture If this sounds like you, please apply today.
