Electrical Engineer

We are exclusively partnering with a global mining company looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join their on-site professional engineering team to support operations and projects on a complex mine in the Northern Territory.

This individual will provide technical support, electrical expertise and governance across asset management and capital in a fixed plant environment. 

This is a client-side position, flying to a remote mine sites in the Northern Territory on a 2/1 or an alternative flexible roster engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing the site electrical drawings for all project work by following the design and site standards
• Preparing scopes of work and cost estimates for electrical and control system project work
• Ensuring electrical statutory compliance for all electrical project work
• Coordinating and managing external contractors
• Ensuring site compliance with electrical engineering standards and reviewing the standards on a regular basis
• Providing electrical support to operating and capital projects

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Experience in Electrical Engineering positions in the Mining, Oil & Gas, or Heavy Industrial industries
• Previous exposure to on-site remote operations 
• Strong knowledge of High Voltage and/or Renewable works
• Good understanding of control systems would be beneficial
• Good knowledge in SAP
