We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician with a minimum of 3 years hands-on work experience to join our team and assist in offering our leading thermal management services in Queanbeyan.

The role requires a mature and enthusiastic work attitude and should have a commitment for long-term employment

Benefits

Salary: $73,150 to $85,000 plus Super depending on experience

Tasks & responsibilities

This role requires a high level of skill and attention to detail when providing air conditioning solutions. Your key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and ensure safe and efficient electrical engineering operations at all times 
  • Manage maintenance schedules and documentation for all equipment.
  • Regularly conduct electrical equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure adherence to safety standards
  • Provide technical support to field technicians and customers, as and when required, addressing electrical-related queries and problems 
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards
  • Draft drawings and plans of thermal system installation and circuitry, including layouts on cabling, switchgear and monitor control systems 
  • Proficiently collect data, run tests and complex calculations, interpreting results and preparing graphs and tables
  • Efficiently identify faults and utilise trouble shooting skills to identify and implement solutions, such as modifying and repairing
  • Manage worksite coordination, such as inspections using protection relays and other devices for quality control
  • Arrange air conditioning system installation, repairs, and equipment testing and calibrating
  • Critically assess designs and final products in service for issues and overall compliance with regulations and standards

Qualifications & experience

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant trade qualification (at least a Diploma or higher) OR at least 3 years of work experience may substitute formal qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the HVAC or electrical industry
  • Demonstrated skills in technical installations and repairs
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Extensive knowledge of reading and interpreting electrical schematics
