Are you an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician/ Production Worker looking to join a leading company in the electrical manufacturing industry? Based in our Edinburgh modern manufacturing facility, Mayfield is seeking motivated and reliable Electrical Engineering Technicians/ Production Workers to support our switchboard assembly team for a 6-month fixed duration.
These roles will assist in the mechanical assembly of switchboards for the industrial sector.
The ideal candidates will have experience in:
Building switchboards
Assembling products in a manufacturing environment
The transportable building industry (switchrooms is an advantage)
With attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
What you'll be doing
Assisting in the mechanical assembly of electrical switchboards and control panels.
Supporting with layout and component installation
Reading and interpreting assembly drawings
Using hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Performing other general production and workshop duties as required
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
Following all workplace health and safety guidelines
Skills and experience
Previous experience in an electrical manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential)
Understanding of general mechanical assembly
Passionate about a hands-on role in building products to a high standard
Ability to use tools such as battery-operated drills, impact drills, grinders, and pop rivet guns etc.
Physically fit and capable of manual work
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Confident with problem solving and a can-do attitude
