About the Role
 

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimating professional to compile comprehensive construction cost estimates.

This is a Perth based role and a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the transformation of the energy sector, ensuring the successful delivery of renewable and sustainable power solutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Take charge of preparing precise and well-documented cost estimates and bids within project deadlines.
  • Ensure all estimations accurately reflect labour, material, timelines, and associated cost structures.
  • Interpret and assess technical drawings and construction documents to determine reliable project costs.
  • Review tender documentation to uncover potential risks and advantages, delivering key insights to the leadership team.
  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and compare them with internal benchmarks to secure best-value outcomes.
  • Propose innovative cost-saving solutions and value-enhancement ideas to strengthen bid appeal.
  • Evaluate technical requirements and contribute meaningful input throughout the bid preparation process.
  • Produce dependable cost forecasts and provide detailed tender progress reports.
  • Adhere to all applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations across the tender lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior estimators, offering guidance, sharing expertise, and promoting continuous improvement and professional development.
  About You
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or have an electrical trade background.
  • Demonstrated experience in estimating or a closely related field, preferably within the mining, infrastructure, or construction industries.
  • A thorough understanding of the electrical construction landscape, especially in large-scale resource or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure.
  • Strong time management capabilities and a commitment to meeting critical deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • A proactive, resilient attitude with a strong sense of integrity, customer focus, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
