About the Role:

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in low voltage switchboard electrical fitting, estimating, design, drafting and project management.

As a Project Manager in our switchboard manufacturing division, you will oversee the successful delivery of projects from initial quotation through to completion. You will participate and work closely with the design, estimating, drafting and production teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading and managing projects from start to finish, including estimating, designing, drafting, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.

• Coordinating with internal teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.

• Performing switchboard estimating, designing and drafting activities to ensure they meet customer specifications and regulatory standards.

• Providing accurate estimates for project costs and timelines.

• Ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards, Australian standards, and regulations.

• Communicating with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.

• Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to design, production, or project execution.

• Mentoring and guiding junior staff members, including electrical fitters, estimators, and drafters.

What we're looking for:

• Qualified Electrical Fitter with relevant certification.

• At least 2 years of experience in electrical or low voltage switchboard designing, estimating, and drafting.

• Proven experience in project management, preferrably within the switchboard manufacturing or electrical industries.

• In-depth knowledge of electrical industry standards, codes, and regulations.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.

• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
