About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated A-Grade Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading electrical systems across two industrial sites, contributing to the growth and innovation of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out troubleshooting and repairs on electrical systems, including AC drives and DC drives.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Assist in managing projects and upgrades related to plant systems.
  • Conduct contractor management and oversee inductions for site compliance.
  • Liaise with power authorities to coordinate and arrange shutdowns.
  • Generate maintenance reports and log electrical certificates as required.
  • Adhere to safety systems and requirements, ensuring compliance with Victorian regulations (e.g., AS/NZ 3000, Blue Book, SIRs).
  • Provide training courses as required and work outside regular hours when necessary.
Requirements
Essential:
  • Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • Current A-Grade Electrical Licence issued in Victoria.
  • MUST have significant experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (5–10 years).
  • Expertise in installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems.
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) such as Allen Bradley and Siemens.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations in Victoria.
  • Ability to plan, organise, and execute projects efficiently.
Desirable:
  • Forklift Licence (Class LF).
  • Working at Heights Licence.
  • EWP Licence/Training (Yellow Card <11m).
  • High Voltage Operator Licence.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • Previous experience in the rubber industry (highly regarded).
Work Conditions
  • Two-shift system (morning and evening shifts).
  • Five-day workweek with potential overtime (including Saturdays).
  • Work across two sites.
  • Interaction with internal systems (ERP/Batch MIS).
  • Expected to be hands-on in a collaborative and innovative environment.
