Role Details
  • Position: Electrician/Instrumentation Technician
  • Location: Jabiru Ranger Mine
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Duration: 4 months 
  • Work Hours: 12-hour days
  • Roster: 1 week on, 1 week off (1:1)
  • Hourly Rate: $80.00
  • Transport, Accommodation & Meals: Provided
  • Pay: Weekly pay & superannuation
Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations on-site.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain and inspect electrical equipment and systems for optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the project team to complete tasks on time.
Ideal Candidate
  • Relevant dual trade electrical/instrument trades qualification (NT Electrical Licence is essential; Instrumentation is highly preferred but not mandatory).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in mining or heavy industry, with exposure to:
    • Pumps, compressors, power stations
    • High voltage reticulation, switching, and system maintenance
    • Low voltage reticulation and distribution
    • VSDs, Allen-Bradley PLCs, Honeywell DCS systems
    • Instrumentation in mineral processing or water treatment plants
  • Safety-driven in all aspects of work.
  • Solid fault-finding ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and focus on quality.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High Voltage qualifications are preferable but not essential.
  • White Card is required.
  • Previous experience in civil construction or mining projects is preferred.
