Embroidery Machine Operator

We are a fast-growing ecommerce business that is expanding very quickly. We’re looking for a motivated Embroidery Machine Operator for our office in Murarrie. This is a casual position with consistent hours of 37 per week with the option to become permanent after 6 months. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

Full training will be given for the right applicant, so no embroidery experience is necessary. We work in a very busy environment with orders needing to be processed to the highest standards and very quickly. Orders must be ready to ship each day by a specific deadline.

The position is approx 50% operating an embroidery machine, 50% packing orders and other related tasks.

Required skills:

• Must be energetic and motivated to work in a very busy environment.
• Very high attention to detail. Must have the ability to see small faults in embroidery stitches.
• Good computer skills and ability to learn new software. Our machines are controlled by software so a good understanding of computers is necessary.
• To work autonomously
• Must be able to stand for most of the day.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Operating an embroidery machine – experience not necessary as full training will be given.
• Basic sewing. Sewing experience not necessary.
• Packing embroidered garments into boxes and preparing orders to be shipped.
• Quality checking each item before packing.
• Processing orders through our software.
• Unpacking and quality checking supplier orders.
• Other Duties as required.
