About the Role
Reporting to the Director: MOD. As the Engagement Officer you will provide operational and marketing support to the Director: MOD. for the implementation of partner and large events and marketing campaigns. You will support engagement activities within MOD. Including designing and implementing marketing processes, managing communications for visitor services, implementation of marketing campaigns and designing and delivering events.

MOD. is Australia’s leading future-focused museum, provoking new ideas at the intersection of science, art and innovation. It aims to inspire young adults to build capability in science, technology, engineering and maths to enable them to pursue relevant and meaningful careers in the future. Through MOD., cutting edge research will be made more accessible and relevant to the public through immersive and interactive exhibitions. Working with a range of stakeholders, MOD. will deliver new gallery and online experiences each year including exhibitions and programs for general, school and stakeholder audiences.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Post-secondary qualifications in a related discipline, for example marketing, tourism or event management, or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
- Highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills, together with high level communication skills to enable working with a diverse range of people and cultures at a variety of levels
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience in supporting multiple projects within tight timelines
- Highly developed skills across the Microsoft Office suite, in particular Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel and experience in using digital content management systems (CMS), social media scheduling and evaluation platforms, and design tools such as Canva
- Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively in a team-based work environment
