With a dynamic team of highly skilled individuals and a strong background in construction and administration, we are currently seeking an experienced Building Estimator/Supervisor to join our team.

This role offers a stimulating and varied workload, with the flexibility to work remotely from your home office. This is a Cairns-based role, and applicants must reside in or near Cairns to be considered. Some travel may be required for training or during event times.

The ideal candidate will possess:
- Carpentry trade qualification (minimum).
- QBCC Site Supervisor's license.
- Recent experience in residential insurance repairs and renovations.
- Good understanding of NCC, QBCC, and trade compliance.
- Current driver's licence and clean driving history.
- A positive and friendly "can-do" approach to life and work.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to learn and demonstrate energy.
- Extremely reliable and dependable.
- Well-presented with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to complete a police history check before starting.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A solid ability to apply practical judgment, with a focus on safety, customer service, technology, and quality.
Key duties include:
- Conducting property inspections and compiling detailed causation reports.
- Estimating residential building repairs/renovations.
- Liaising with homeowners, insurance companies, and loss adjusters.
- Supervising projects/repairs (both on-site and off-site).
- Possible travel to assist with other regional QLD offices.
