We're Hiring: Event Coordinator & Florist
Location: Spotswood, Melbourne - 25-38hrs per week
BOUQUET Melbourne is seeking a passionate and experienced Wedding / Event Coordinator & Florist to join our team. If you have a background in event logistics, coordination, and floristry, and thrive in a dynamic environment, we want to hear from you! You’ll work closely with our Creative Director and clients to plan, design, and execute beautiful floral arrangements for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. This role is a blend of logistics and coordination and floristry, requiring strong organisational skills and a creative flair.
About the Role:In this role, you will focus on managing event logistics, client communications, and sales support while assisting in creating bespoke floral designs. The position requires strong organisational abilities for coordinating event timelines, deliveries, and setups, while also providing hands-on floristry support. You’ll work closely with the Creative Director and Head Florist to ensure the smooth execution of events and floral installations.
Key Responsibilities:Logistics & CoordinationLiaise with clients to understand their event needs and ensure all details are in place for a seamless experience.Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, deliveries, and setups for weddings and corporate events. Handle some sales inquiries, providing quotes, booking details, and following up with clients. Maintain clear communication with clients, vendors, and the team to ensure successful event execution.Ensure all materials, supplies, and team members are ready for each event, managing the setup process from start to finish.Some late-night work may be required for event setups and breakdowns.
FloristryWork closely with the Creative Director and Lead Florist to plan, design, and execute bespoke floral arrangements for weddings and events.Assist with creating floral installations, bouquets, and event décor.Support the team in all aspects of floral design and execution.
Key Skills & Experience:Proven experience in the events industry with a strong focus on logistics, coordination, and floristry.Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.A passion for floristry with the ability to execute creative designs.Comfortable with sales tasks, including providing quotes and handling client inquiries.A valid driver’s licence is essential.Must be available for occasional late-night work and event setups.Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.A proactive, can-do attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional event experiences.
