Excavator Operator\Labourer - Casual

About the business

SAE Energy is a well-established and fast-growing company specialising in Level 1 Essential Energy, Ergon & Energex overhead and underground reticulation. SAE Energy has had year on year growth with a number of successful projects won recently.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and highly skilled excavator operator who is also willing to assist as a labourer from time to time. Energex core work rates apply - hourly rate $50+

About the role

You will be responsible for:

• Operating machinery – excavator & skid steer (must have experience in trenching with an excavator & operating machinery around live services)
• Conduit installation
• Truck driving duties from time to time
• Assistance with the installation of HV & LV cabling
• Assist with installation of pillars and pits

Skills and experience

• Experience and qualifications with civil equipment is a must (Excavator/Skid Steer)
• Experience in excavating (trenching) and working around live services
• Experience and knowledge of civil electrical works
• Maintaining high safety standards and driving a culture of safety excellence
• Happy to work as a labourer when duties do not include operating plant
• Energex cams & Essential Energy safety rules accredited will be highly regarded
• Current driver licence & construction induction card (white card)
• Motivated, results focused, problem solver.
