Experienced Underground Operators - Truck and Nipper

We are currently seeking experienced underground truck operators and experienced nippers.

MAKO Mining is a specialist underground mining contractor focused on safely delivering high productivity and professional results in all narrow vein mining applications. The Company has a track record of consistent safety and production, always meeting our client’s expectations.

We have several upcoming openings for experienced Underground Operators to join our dynamic team. These positions require self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to multi-skill effectively.

Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of underground mining and demonstrate a proactive, forward-thinking approach. Importantly, our crews prioritise a safe and team-focused culture.

Additionally, there are opportunities for career growth within the company.

Positions are FIFO from Perth.

Rosters, dependent on role and site 8:6, 7:7, 14:7 or 14:14

Essential Criteria

• Must have full working rights in Australia.

• National Police Clearance

• Minimum 1-year underground operator experience

• Current and Valid Manual Australian Drivers Licence

• Adhere to WHS policies and procedures

• Recognised RPL achievements

Advantageous Criteria

• Safe Working at Heights

• First Aid Certificate

• Current & Valid Dangerous Goods Security Card

• Confined Space

 About You

You must be self-motivated, with a can-do attitude and willingness to work in a small and effective team. Your success depends on your integrity, dedication, teamwork, and strong communication skills.

You will have:

• Experience operating Sandvik and CAT Dump Trucks

• Experience with assisting Jumbo Operators

• Extensive knowledge of safe work practices and techniques applied in underground mining.

• Methodical approach to completing tasks, well organised and the ability to work autonomously.

• Capacity to think laterally and work through obstacles with sound communication, both verbal and written.

• Proven experience within a similar role with good knowledge of equipment within an underground environment.

• Excellent customer service skills, and ability to build and maintain successful working relationships.

• Respect and understanding of confidentiality.
