About the role
SCEE Electrical is seeking expressions of interest from  passionate, safety-focused individuals for a challenging and rewarding upcoming project in Karratha! The project will be completed over an 18-month period involving shutdowns periods for the change out and tie-ins of new upgraded conveyors, drives, chutes, switch rooms and associated infrastructure.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer/Electrical Engineer, some of your key tasks will include:  
  • Leading and managing electrical engineering tasks related to the project.
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of electrical systems, including HV/LV/ELV services.
  • Managing the integration and commissioning of new electrical equipment including 33kV/6.6kV and 33kV/415V transformers, transportable switch rooms, and drive sets.
  • Providing technical leadership during installation, commissioning, and testing, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Liaising with the project management team, contractors, and clients.
  • Ensuring all electrical systems meet regulatory requirements and are designed for maximum efficiency and reliability.
  • Playing a pivotal role in managing site operations, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring the overall success of the project.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Senior Electrical Engineers will need to hold an Australian recognised Electrical Engineering Degree and have at least 7+ years of experience on site on large-scale construction projects
  • Electrical Engineers will need to hold an Australian recognised Electrical Engineering Degree and have at least 3+ years of experience on site on large-scale construction projects
  • Good understanding of project control systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with Strong organisational skills and a high-level attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with well-developed numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a high functioning team.
  • Strong understanding of Australian Standards
