External Claims Adjuster, Property

MAYDAY are excited to be assisting a global insurance brand with the recruitment of an External Claims Adjuster to support their property claims team and be based out of their Perth office.

This role is pivotal in assisting with the assessing, management and settlement of strata claims both office and field based.

What will you be doing?

• Provide both field and office based assessments of property claims
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholder to update and progress the claims process 
• Manage a portfolio of property claims and assist the policy holders and claimants with this process
• Assess commercial loss from initial advice to settlement
• Fully investigate claims by liaising with claimants, witnesses, physical damage and reports
• Settle the claims
• Provide recommendations to litigation when appropriate

What experience should you have?

• General knowledge of the general insurance industry 
• Experience in managing property claims ideal
• Exceptional organisation skills
• Full drivers licence
• Strata experience as a Loss Adjuster 
• Loss Adjusting qualifications preferred, or professional qualifications applicable to the Loss Adjusting industry
• Trade qualifications would be advantageous 
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent customer service abilities
