Due to significant growth within our department, we are seeking a dynamic, full-time Facilities Manager to join our team.

Role Overview
As the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational, environmental, and safety aspects of both residential and commercial strata properties, ensuring they meet the highest standards in line with legislative requirements and business goals. You will report directly to the Director of Facilities Management and play a key role in shaping the future of our property operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all property functions, ensuring optimal performance across both residential and commercial assets.

  • Maintain the presentation and condition of all properties, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards.

  • Oversee and coordinate all repair and maintenance activities, ensuring effective solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Handle after-hours issues, providing quick responses and resolution to any operational challenges.

  • Ensure accurate management of service records, technical drawings, and asset data in line with MMJ’s internal systems.

  • Prepare and manage detailed annual Repairs and Maintenance budgets, project timelines, and work programs.

  • Oversee all tenant works and upgrades, advising on building services and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

  • Deliver Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) works within agreed timelines, budgets, and in full compliance with MMJ’s policies.

  • Contribute to integrating new technologies and IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A trade certificate is preferable, or substantial mechanical/operational “hands-on” experience at a minimum.

  • A strong working knowledge of mechanical services, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems is highly advantageous.

  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) is a plus.

  • Proven experience in facilities management within strata buildings, including residential and commercial assets.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems through training.

  • Valid Driver’s License and vehicle are essential.
