The RoleWe are seeking a Facilities Manager with a strong operational background to join our Melbourne team. This role supports the Heads of Operations, managing an integrated FM contract in the Utilities sector and coordinating daily operations across multiple utilities sites in the Western Suburbs. You will be responsible for ensuring all contractual obligations are met, overseeing Hard and Soft FM services, and managing planned and reactive works within strict timelines.The Facilities Manager will also play a critical role in maintaining compliance with safety, legislative, and contract KPI requirements, while building strong relationships with site staff and contractors to ensure seamless service delivery. Overview of the RoleLead service delivery, innovation, and planning to achieve organisational goals, improve performance, and engage a high-functioning, collaborative culture.Manage all aspects of Hard and Soft FM services, including maintenance activities, capital works, tenancy fit outs, and stakeholder relationships with tenants, contractors, and other key parties.Active participation in portfolio meetings, monthly meetings, advising and reporting on current portfolio technical performance, major issues and improvement opportunities (facilities and process).Improve asset productivity, achieve best-practice maintenance management, and proactively provide input into current maintenance activities.Manage Operational expenditure budget preparation, forecasting and delivery.Manage Capital works and tenancy fit outs as required.Perform administration and finance related duties required to support KFM in the delivery of facilities management services.Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational, health and safety legislation, building codes, building commission and other statutory authority requirements. What We Would ExpectA seasoned facilities manager with operational background, around 3+ years of experience and demonstrated success in within the property/building industry. Tertiary or post trade qualifications in Facility Management/Engineering/Business or a related discipline or equivalent level of experience (preferred).Excellent presentation, verbal and communication skills. Experienced with contract management and budget supervisions. Highly analytical and engaged in seeking improvement opportunities. Strong stakeholder management and relationship development skills. Experienced with facilities management projects and delivery.A self-motivated individual who has a practical mindset with strong customer focus, technical and computer skills.Reliable work ethic and willingness to develop themselves professionally.An understanding of Australian standards (AS/NZS), State OH&S legislation, and Building codes of Australia (BCA)background is preferable.
